Who We Are

What makes your college experience great? Some of the best experiences we as volunteers have had are because of BYUSA Clubs. We are the organization on campus that makes recreational and other clubs possible. Did you know that we have over 180 active clubs here on campus? Clubs are so great because they provide the opportunity to meet people that have similar interests or goals as you, to contribute to a community that makes BYU feel like home for everyone, and to help you develop your skills, hobbies, or talents.

We, the volunteers, are students like you. We believe that by promoting clubs, we are helping BYU campus become more inclusive and welcoming to all, meet the needs of its students, and feel a little smaller.

Each week, we have Clubs Night in the WSC from 7-10 PM where many of our clubs have their club meetings. We also have some fun events like Club Rush, Clubs Showcase, and Care Week that help you get involved on campus. If you want to join a club, you can visit clubs.byu.edu to see the full list of all BYU clubs. If you want to start a club, come see us in the BYUSA office and we can help you get started!

FAQ'S

  • Campus Scheduling will not finalize any room reservations until your event is approved through our office. To check the status of your event, you can check through your club's page or contact Spencer Hawkins.

  • No.

  • No, we do not allow clubs to travel off-campus, nor do we solicit to our clubs. You can contact the club advisor and see if club members are interested in their own time, but it is their prerogative to pass the opportunity on or not.

  • Ineligible status indicates that you are not a student, are not enrolled in classes/enough credits, or do not meet the 2.5 minimum GPA requirement (semesterly and cumulative).

  • Your club is either active-restricted or inactive. Your club must be inactive status to submit requests.

  • Active-restricted clubs have one or more of the following issues:
    1. Not all officers have completed their officer training
    2. Not all officers are eligible to be officers in the club
    3. The advisor is no longer full-time or no longer works at BYU
    4. Your club has not submitted a new charter

Jasmine, Clubs VP

Hey there! My name is Jasmine Limbong and I am a current undergraduate student majoring in Marketing and the Clubs VP for the 2021-2022 school year. Something that I am really proud of is my heritage. My father is an immigrant from Indonesia and I am the first girl on both sides of the family that is pursuing an undergraduate. While this is a lot of weight on my shoulders as a result, I feel very blessed with the opportunity to be here at BYU. On a lighter note, I love all things related to my family, friends, and BYU Men's Volleyball (there isn't anything I wouldn't do to be in the front row at a game). I also enjoy conquering mountains, which sometimes involves me falling down them, and anything outdoors. In short, I am a lover of life and am constantly putting in the work to achieve these dreams, which include marketing for an international company, owning a nonprofit, and traveling the world. I am very excited for this school year and all that the Clubs Area will be doing. I plan to further foster inclusivity as well as growing participation in all the fantastic clubs that BYU offers.
